Confidence Injections
In a nutshell 🥜
Big fan of weight management medication!
A healthy lifestyle accelerates weight loss, shifts long-term behaviors, and positively affects mental health.
Zepbound and Mounjaro are the same medication, made by the same company, with the same doses. However, Mounjaro is FDA-approved for diabetes, and Zepbound is FDA-approved for weight loss.
Greetings, health aficionados and curious minds alike! As a mom in my mid-30s, I embarked on a transformative journey to reclaim my body and vitality. This isn't your run-of-the-mill weight loss tale filled with exhausting diets and endless workouts. Instead, it's about my experience with an FDA-approved drug called Zepbound (also known as Mounjaro), my evolving relationship with food and alcohol, and the confidence I've gained along the way.
Like many of us, I struggled to shed stubborn post-baby weight. Despite trying trendy diets and intense workout regimens, nothing seemed to work. That is until a gorgeous doctor friend bestowed upon me a game-changing recommendation: Zepbound.
Now, if you're scratching your head wondering what in the world Mounjaro or Zepbound is, fear not; you're not alone. It's a newcomer to the weight loss scene, freshly stamped with FDA approval. After considering the pros and cons, I decided to take the plunge with cautious optimism.
Zepbound operates differently from other drugs like Wegovy and Ozempic. While those drugs primarily activate the GLP-1 receptor, the Z taps into two hormone receptors – GLP-1 and GIP – to regulate metabolism, resulting in superior weight loss with fewer side effects.
With a refrigerator stash of injectors and hopeful determination, I started with weekly injections for three months before tapering down to one every two weeks. The results were impressive—over 30 pounds lost in just four months! But as with any journey worth taking, it wasn't without its challenges.
As per the doctor's warning, I experienced some nausea and discomfort after the first injection. At month 3, I climbed up to 7.5MG dosages, and things got a bit hairy – some headaches, dizziness after getting up, and noticeably lower energy – none of which was surprising with such a small appetite. Not exactly the required vibe for juggling parenthood, work, and everything in between. Listening to my body, I adjusted my dosage and realized that this journey was about more than just shedding pounds – it was about embracing holistic wellness and reclaiming my confidence.
What does my revamped routine look like?
Zoom meetings turned into walking meetings – averaging 3 miles a day; these walks cleared my mind and turned out to be incredibly productive.
Intermittent fasting – with a shifted eating window from noon to 7 pm (most days).
Regular strength training – squeezing a few bicep curls during meetings or a spare moment off-camera.
Focused on protein intake – fueling my body with nutrients
This journey wasn't just about what I did physically; it was about the internal shifts and a newfound sense of confidence. From enjoying my (honestly, naked) reflection in the mirror to reveling in the way my clothes fit.
In conclusion, this journey is a testament to the fact that there's no one-size-fits-all approach to health and wellness. It's about embracing non-traditional methods, being open to new possibilities, and navigating the journey with resilience and determination. May we all be grateful for medical advances like Zepbound being available during our lifetime! Men and women can enjoy the fountain of youth and take control by embracing these modern solutions while continuing to honor the holistic aspects of well-being.
Until next time, stay curious, stay healthy, and keep hustling!

“The fact that there’s a medically approved prescription for managing weight and staying healthier, in my lifetime, feels like relief, like redemption, like a gift, and not something to hide behind once again be ridiculed for.”
